Changsha WES Academy(CWA) is the first and only international school in Hunan Province that uses English as the primary language of instruction.
Changsha is a bustling, internationally expanding market that provides foreign companies with investment opportunities. CWA was established in order to support this growth by attracting moreforeign investors to Changsha City and Hunan Province atlarge. With the support of theleaders of Changsha City, the Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone Administrative Committee (CETZAC) cooperated with Worldwide Education Services, Singapore (WES Group) to establish an international school for the children of expatriate and SAR families.

Currently, we offer an international curriculum for children from ages 3 to 19.
We have been approved as an lnternational School by the PRC Ministry of Education and we are an accredited member of the Council of International Schools(CIS). ln May 2014, the International Baccalaureate Organization authorized us as a Primary Years Programme, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. All IB World Schools share a common philosophy of a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education which we believe is important for our students.

CWA brings together leading teachers from around the world with international backgrounds who are all highly qualified and very experience. This mix of teachers from America, Australia, Canada, China, England, Europe, etc., allows us to draw from global best practice to ensure a holistic, effective approach to teaching and learning. Our students are well supported by our experienced teachers as they transition into an English learning environment.
